Forterra completed a 1,500-acre acquisition in the Port Gamble Forest on Washington’s Kitsap Peninsula in December, 2017. This acquisition completes a decade-long project to conserve more than 4,000 acres for recreation, restoration, cultural heritage and wildlife habitat. A mountain bike trail network is planned at the north end of the property, adding to the 65 miles of exiting trails in the Port Gamble Forest property. This acquired forestland will be added to the Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park.
