We have awarded three Public Lands Defense Fund (PLDF) grants totaling $45,000 to groups working to defend the 2001 Roadless Rule and the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument.

Historic Public Lands Bill Passes Congress
Congress passed a package of public lands bills today that protects nearly 2.5 million acres of public land and 676 miles of rivers throughout the US. The Natural Resources Management Act (S.47) also reauthorizes the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Ahead of a government shutdown and the conclusion of the 115th congress, lawmakers from both sides of the aisle came together to pass the Natural Resources Act. This public lands package pushes eight Conservation Alliance priorities across the finish line, protecting more than two million acres of wild places, preserving 396 miles of river, and reauthorizing the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
