Oregon Natural Desert Association protects, defends and restores Oregon’s high desert, providing essential habitat for fish and wildlife and wild places for all people to treasure and explore, now and always. Founded in 1987, ONDA was instrumental in establishing each of Oregon’s three desert wilderness areas, protecting dozens of miles of Wild and Scenic Rivers, and strengthening conservation across millions of acres of the region’s public land. ONDA’s work conserves the most ecologically important public lands, waterways and habitats in Oregon’s high desert while building a robust, enduring and inclusive community of passionate conservation advocates to champion high desert conservation for generations to come. ONDA represents more than 10,000 members and supporters from Oregon and across the country.
