Founded by four Black women agriculturists on Juneteenth in 2020, the Detroit Black Farmer Land Fund (DBFLF) is a coalition of three long-standing urban farming organizations with a collective mission to rebuild inter-generational land ownership for Black Farmers in Detroit. Through a partnership between the Detroit Black Food Security Network (DBCFSN), Oakland Avenue Urban Farm, and Keep Growing Detroit, DBFLF supports local communities with land acquisition, farm support, infrastructure, and equipment needs. During the 2023-24 program year, DBFLF was able to support 70 landowners with awards to purchase 18.7 acres and complete 48 infrastructure projects.
