Castleton Tower is one of North America’s classic sandstone monuments, and a favorite destination for desert climbers. In 2002, with significant support from The Conservation Alliance, Utah Open Lands succeeded in purchasing the land at the base of Castleton, protecting the acreage from development, and forever preserving public access to the monument’s climbing routes.
