105,000 acres protected

We supported Wild Salmon Center’s Tillamook Forest Campaign to permanently protect crucial rainforest habitat in Oregon’s North Coast Range, safeguarding popular hiking and mountain biking areas, wild salmon essential to a large recreational fishery, the drinking water supply for hundreds of thousands of Oregonians, and the carbon sequestration crucial for fighting global warming. After several years of focused effort, WSC and its coalition partners secured new State Forest Conservation Areas within the forest, protecting 100,000 acres of forest.
