Summer is our favorite time of year – when our community gathers at various events across the country. Between all of the industry gatherings and trade shows, we’re stoked to see so many of our brands and partners in person in the coming weeks.
Being in community inspires us to continue advocating for the ongoing protection of our cherished outdoor spaces – it’s a reminder of the amazing privilege it is to do this work with such great people. Despite key landscapes and bedrock environmental laws remaining under attack, we are working hard to push back, together. Our collective voice is making an impact and moving the needle on the economic argument for conservation.
We thank our members and partners for investing in the resources that sustain businesses, strengthen the outdoor economy, and ensure lasting business resilience. Read on to learn more about program updates and opportunities to get involved.

Grand Staircase CRA effort dies in the Senate
On June 12, the 60-day clock ran out on the proposed Congressional Review Act resolution to nullify the current Resource Management Plan (RMP) for Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This means that proponents of the CRA no longer have a realistic path forward for a vote.
Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument provides pivotal connectivity for wildlife and one-of-a-kind recreation experiences. It’s the foundation of nearby travel and tourism economies, drawing new visitors, businesses, and residents to the area. Rolling back the RMP would have effectively cut down the monument’s current size by half, harmed Tribes as well as local and national outdoor businesses, and set a dangerous precedent for the utilization of the CRA on national monument management plans.
Unfortunately, this is not the last attack on this monument that we expect to see. TCA will keep our members and partners up-to-date on all of the threats and opportunities to defend this important place.

TCA Businesses Spoke Out at 2026 D.C. Fly-in
Last month, TCA members hit Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for our annual member fly-in.
We brought 29 representatives from 23 businesses to lead over 60 meetings across the Hill and with the Administration to advocate for the outdoors. The Fly-In is always a memorable and impactful week, but with our outdoor spaces facing threats like never before, it was critical that businesses voiced their concerns this year. Groups addressed urgent issues like the public lands sell-off, the Roadless Rule, the Congressional Review Act, and explored proactive protection opportunities with key offices.
We’re incredibly grateful to our members and partners who took part in this year’s Fly-In. Thanks to their dedication, TCA continues to demonstrate that businesses have a powerful and necessary role to play in shaping the future of conservation policy. All businesses – from global brands to local shops – can help protect the natural places we all love and the communities that depend on them. Learn more.
