The Trust for Public Land used our funding to complete the 1,877-acre Hunger Mountain Headwaters project. The newly protected properties provide expanded public access to the Worcester Range and are included in the Worcesters to Northeast Kingdom Wildlife Linkage. Now part of the C.C Putnam State Forest in Vermont, this area also hosts the approach trail to Mount Hunger and White Rock Mountain—two of the most popular day hikes in Vermont.
