Moon Rocks at Yellow Creek

West Virginia Land Trust’s “Buy the Moon Project” permanently protected 866 acres adjoining the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge and Little Canaan Wildlife Management Area in West Virginia’s Appalachian Mountains. This property includes the Moon Rocks mountain biking and hiking area that links to 20+ miles of trails.

Holy Boulders

Access Fund used our funding to help the Illinois Climbing Association acquire and protect Holy Boulders in Southern Illinois.  This 46-acre area features over 350 developed problems on sandstone boulders. Maloney Creek

Forterra successfully acquired Maloney Creek, a 300-acre property adjacent to the Alpine Lakes, Wild Sky and Henry M. Jackson Wilderness Areas in Washington State. Fisher’s Peak

The Conservation Alliance funded The Nature Conservancy of Colorado’s successful acquisition of the 19,200-acre Crazy French Ranch near Trinidad, Colorado. Medicine Wall

We funded Texas Climbers Coalition’s Medicine Wall Campaign to acquire the 4.6-acre property known as Medicine Wall, and to establish new parkland and ensure public access to approximately 40 climbing routes. The group reports that they have completed the acquisition, and are working to complete an access trail to the crag.

Diablo Mountain
