The Conservation Alliance Awards $847,000 in Grants to Protect Lands and Waters Across North America

Projects were selected in partnership with TCA’s member companies.

(August 26, 2026) –  The Conservation Alliance is announcing recipients of its latest grant awards, totaling $847,000 to 28 organizations across North America working to protect outdoor spaces and natural places. Through the organization’s Member Collective Grant Program, $712,000 was awarded to 22 organizations. In addition, four grants were funded through discretionary grants and two were awarded to support Priority Campaign efforts. 

TCA’s grant programs fund projects working to establish long-term protection of lands and waters through private land acquisitions/easements, federal-level conservation efforts, and landscape scale restoration efforts. This includes projects that elevate conservation priorities within management processes and planning, promoting the climate resiliency and biodiversity of protected areas.

The Member Collective Grant Program is part of what makes membership with The Conservation Alliance so unique and valuable. It gives each member company the opportunity to direct significant funding to grassroots organizations working on critical projects – whether it’s a local conservation issue or a campaign of national importance. 

All member company employees have the opportunity to submit recommendations for funding and vote through a ballot to determine the final recipients. This year, 56 organizations submitted funding applications and over 1,000 employees from 71 member companies completed ballots to help determine which projects TCA would support. 

The 28 projects funded through the recent awards are located in 15 American states – Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming – as well as one from British Columbia. This year’s grantees include seven Indigenous-led groups and seven organizations that have not received funding from The Conservation Alliance in the past.
